Marge and Steve Graham have put together a fabulous artists’ getaway for you during the peak foliage in Wisconsin. Created especially for WAG members, this fantastically priced 5-day retreat is designed for artists with plenty of time to draw, paint, photograph, journal, compose, or whatever your artistic pursuit – while enjoying fellowship, meals and free optional outings. WHERE: Only 4½ hour drive from the North Shore, Björklunden vid Sjon is Lawrence University’s campus in Bailey’s Harbor, WI.
Björklunden was the summer home of Marge Graham’s maternal grandparents, Donald and Winifred Boynton, who built and decorated a private family chapel modeled after a 16th C. Norwegian wooden stave church. You will have ample opportunities to enjoy the private chapel and extensive grounds, as well as casual group outings to explore Door County’s picturesque towns, art galleries, studios and countryside.
