Michael Latala has worked in commercial art in Chicago after receiving his Art degree from the Amercan Academy of Art. He continued his figurative studies in drawing and painting at the American Academy of Art, where he studied with Bill Parks. He then joined the acclaimed Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Art in Chicago where he also studied with Scott Burdick and Romel de la Torre. Michael has the pleasure of painting regularly with Daniel Gerhartz painting circle in Wisconsin. He has been strongly inspired by Richard Schmid, Daniel Gerhartz, John Singer Sargent, Carl von Marr and Anders Zorn.
