Beverly Behrens paints layered watercolors of subjects near and far: from her own garden to Van Gogh's Saint Remy de Provence. Her work is featured in the inaugural exhibition in a series at the Wagner Alumni Center of the University of South Dakota.
Curt Frankenstein likes the tension between fantasy and reality. He uses familiar images in unfamiliar surprising ways. His paintings are realistic, but at the same time not real. His aim is to break up accustomed views of the world and to suggest that there is more to reality than meets the eye.
Kay Thomas has studied with many Japanese and Chinese painters and has taken many painting trips to Japan and China. She has extensive experience teaching painting to adults and children.
